Privacy Policy
This policy explains the information AuctVault processes when you browse listings, create an account, subscribe to updates, submit content, or follow a link to an external auction platform.
Information we collect
We may process account information such as your email address and authentication identifiers; newsletter preferences; content you submit; and messages you choose to send us.
When you follow a seller link, we may record the listing, source website, destination, time, referrer, browser user agent, campaign parameters, a random session identifier, and a one-way hash of your IP address. We do not intentionally store the raw IP address in our click log.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts and preferences, display and improve auction discovery, protect the service, measure outbound traffic, provide aggregate reports to partners, respond to requests, and send communications you requested.
Service providers and external platforms
AuctVault uses infrastructure and service providers including Vercel for hosting, Supabase for database and authentication services, Cloudinary and source platforms for images, and—only if enabled with your consent—Google Analytics. Newsletter delivery may be handled by Beehiiv. Clicking a lot takes you to an independent auction or marketplace governed by that platform's own policy.
Affiliate and analytics information
Outbound links can contain campaign or affiliate parameters. We use click information to prevent abuse, understand referral performance, and document traffic sent to auction partners. We do not sell your account credentials or raw IP address.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, to maintain records, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations. We use access controls, server-only credentials, transport encryption, and hashed IP identifiers, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can decline optional analytics, unsubscribe from marketing emails, and request access, correction, or deletion of personal information where applicable. Requests may require identity verification. Contact hello@auctvault.com. See the Cookie Policy for browser-storage choices.
Children and changes
AuctVault is not directed to children under 16. We may revise this policy as the service changes; the date above identifies the current version.
